Hello Spartan27198,
I'm going to assume you were performing the No Guns glitch using the white weapons, as that is the only logical reason behind purchasing them from the Cryptarch.
If so, I have ran into this issue with my Mida-Multi Tool, I swapped the weapon a tiny bit too early and it got dismantled in it's place. PLEASE be careful with this glitch, it is VERY high risk, place all valued weapons in the Vault, or on another character to be safe.

Looking back on it know I ask myself why I didn't just buy some Ammo Synthesis. I'm aware of the no guns glitch but I was not trying to preform it. I'm unaware what caused this and since it just happened without cause of using external applications while in game, makes me think this is a new glitch or a one time error. It does seem like this glitch will occur when doing the No Guns glitch as the items switch position in app but don't have time to register in game causing that to happen. But that would be more of a latency error and not what occurred to me. This happened using only the game. I was not on the Companion app or the Bungie website when this occurred. If I could come up with a logical explanation to explain how this happened I would just to make myself less annoyed at this error. But as it stands, I cannot think of a reason as to why such a thing would and did happen.
