So, they do iron banner once a month. Way back when they did queens wrath. These events offer unique weapons and armor. Queens wrath only happened one time, and no one who came in around Christmas (myself included) got to experience it. This game is supposed to be about making your character unique with both how they look and how they fight. This is tough to do when only raids, POE, and ToO offer the best gear and stats, so everyone runs the exact same stuff. I sacrifice stats and perks to look different, ESPECIALLY in Crucible.
I think it would be so cool if Bungie, once a month, or hell even just one time for a week, opened up the old loot tables. Destiny has become homogenous, everyone runs the exact same weapons and armor. I want to stand out, look different, and I know everyone I play with feels the same. If for one week you could buy all the old weapons or armor of vanilla destiny from factions/vanguard and receive them as rewards, and another week get TDB rewards... How amazing would that be? I'd grind every second of those weeks for gear. I don't even care if I couldn't reroll what I got, I'd just keep playing. Hell they could even disable exotic drops that week and I'd still play.
How would you feel if Bungie opened up the old loot tables, if only for just one week?

I think this would be cool, but with the new items going with ttk it will make them underpowered in all but pvp. As they stand now, they are trophies for the original guardians.
