Hi all - sorry for the noob question, but here goes: I'm a front-end developer and I've got some sketches ready for an app I'd like to create. I've read extensively regarding CORS, and how it is not enabled for the Destiny API, and need to use a proxy server. For the LIFE of me, I can't get this working.
I've tried the Grunt plugin (grunt-connect-proxy) to try to set up a proxy, and I've messed with my settings on my LAN to no luck. I've been using Postman (https://www.getpostman.com/) to perform lookups and hit the endpoints and plan out my app, however now that it's time to actually pull from the API from local development environment, I can't make things click. Postman even generates code snippets, so I've tried via XHR, AJAX, PHP, cURL, and a few others. Ooph.
I have extensive experience with JavaScript (vanilla + jQuery), JSON, MySQL + SQL - so once I am able to hit the API I'll be off to the races. Can anyone point me in the right direction in regards to how I might begin to work with the API from localhost? The goal here is to eventually wind up in a PhoneGap/Cordova deployment when all is said and done.
