What inspired your username?
Over the years I've come across alot if unique and wierd gamertags and psn usernames. So I thought I would make a post and see how you guys came up with them.
I created mine about 10 years ago when I was big into the game runescape. I really wanted it to be "awhisperinthedark" but it was taken already and I really didn't want to have number in my name. But after trying for a good hour with different variations I made mine darkvoice7 and had to settle with a number at the end which was my favourite number. Since then it's the one I use for all online games, and I use darkvoice8 for forums and stuff.
If we can get this trending and keep it trending then maybe we can get deej and cozmo to tell us how they got/came up with their names.
Edit: alot of these are really unique :-) it's cool to see how certain things outside of games can have an effect on how people made their names.
Edit2: over 150 replies wow! I honestly wasn't expecting that many :-) thanks to everyone for contributing. Im enjoying reading them, and I'm sure other people are too :-)

I was playing poker one night with some friends and I was being very stingy with my chips. It pissed my friend off so much that he shouted "DAMNIT DUDE! YOU HOLD ON TO YOUR CHIPS SO DAMN TIGHT THAT IF YOU WERE TO HOLD ON TO A BUFFALO NICKEL YOU'D MAKE THAT DAMN BUFFALO FART!!" Everyone got a kick out of it and received the nickname buffalo afterwards.

1 ReplyCobra Kye was my call sign in Afghanistan. Cobra Kye is from the karate kid. There is a line cobra Kye never dies so my spotter and I decided on that. The number six is usually reserved for commanders in an infantry company. As a joke I adopted the 6 because my spotter was 7, which is used for the second in command. So when I called my spotter on the radio or anything it sounded like I out ranked him, which I didnt.

My actual Xbox gt is different, my initial gt was my last name and when destiny was still young, I opted to change it, both for security reasons and because it was boring. So the meaning behind Silent4rchitect is that I'm a pretty quiet guy and I studied architecture (pretty passionate about it). 4 obviously = "A" simply because the the fully spelled out gt was already taken and I didn't want to mess (tried different variants all were taken).

3 RepliesWell my first gamer "tag" was Cloudia, but when my Hubby and I both got ps4's I decided to go with Mrs. Lagg because he's Lagg12 haha. No, i'm not a newly-wed and he isn't an online relationship, we've been together about 10 years now and have two kids. I hadn't used Cloudia in ages so I just decided Mrs. Lagg, it's always fun when we join a party together because our friends are always like, "Oh, the Lagg's are on!"
