Maybe you should get acquainted with your hunter more. It's supers aren't that useful in PVE but they wreak havoc in PVP if you know how to use them. For example, I had the dumbest luck to have found 4 or 5 enemies running in a single line. Killed them all with arc blade. Even survived a Gjallerhorn hit in the process. The invisibility does wonders in PVE for reviving teammates in the middle of a mob or for staying in the areas of objectives like the mine dismantling in PoE or debuffing near lamps in CE. A single hunter can solo that entire part of the raid, y'know. The hunter's a very specialized class so it's really easy to find it useless if you're new to it.
