New Game Mode: Exotic Guardian

Imagine an entirely new gameplay style. In this game there is one Guardian set above the rest and he has the ability to wear all his exotic armour. He becomes ' Legend' so to speak as Bungie says. He has the ability to choose from whatever exotic gear he has and equip head, arms, chest and legs as exotic. Some may look up to him as captain, king or god but for now lets call this Guardian the Exotic Guardian (EG). Now your excited, I can tell. We all dream it and wish it. When I first thought this a possible game made I originally thought to be pve but it could also go in the direction of pvp as well. Lets start first with the pvp. There is lots of room for creativity of how the EG could be implemented into the gameplay but here is an example just to get your brains rolling. The setting would be a team vs team style with each team having an EG. Its a fight to the death and when you die you have the option of being revived but only by the EG. The EG's location is roughly known but never pinpointed down (this allows the subclasses of the hunters to still be fully utilized). However the game would also support the subclasses of other characters as well. I leave that to Bungie. Once the EG is downed than its just a matter of time. you could also mercy kill it but Then you could give more game points to those kills that are achieved to the team with out a doctor, I mean EG. Yeah, essentially its Doctor Dodgeball (good-ole-school-classic) but you could see how the EG could change the gameplay. He would obviously attract the opposing team but then he would be super-buffed. I might add in one stipulation to the EG; no super ability, or not. Your call Bungie. Ok,and then there is the pve mode, which I would be stoked for. Also one team member of the fireteam would be chosen as the EG and the others would strive to keep him alive. A possible scenario would be like the poe 'target objective' (killing a major captain or knight, etc.) but flip it so you have to defend your EG from the onslaught of the enemy. My hopes is large hordes of enemies (think Skywatch on the Cosomodrome when the hive led by 'Urgnaught' or whatever his name is and they all out attack the fallen). Add in a boss or two that focuses primarily on the EG and now we are getting somewhere. That is just one of many possible scenarios which I think would work better in a long map as opposed to an arena style (think point A to point B). In the pve version EG retains his ability to use his super. Ok, so we get that the EG would be a little less coveted now as the chaos now becomes fully realized by my thought would to implement a whole other aspect that affects both pvp or pve. That element would be that each member of the fireteam must be the EG for a round. Pvp would go for every round that there was a team player and possible another if there is in need of a tie-breaker. Ideally six player teams. Thus huge penalty for those who drop out intentionally (not counting error codes. Maybe there could be a chit system like for iron banner as a match would be fairly length allowing losers to bank half xp in the case of error codes. No one likes a weasel. Pve would also have six rounds or possibly nine (accounting for each subclass) allowing for each member to become the EG. The thing is certain levels or rounds pertain better to certain subclasses as EG. Thos Guardians that have not collected a certain exotic gear piece could be at a disadvantage. This gives the opportunity to allow teams to choose their EG but once they have become the EG once they cannot until everyone has. Again creative license allowed. I would not want to explain much more as Bungie always likes to allow the community to discover for themselves how to to become victorious in their various gameplay styles. Right on, you made it this far. One last point I would like to make is that the EG could use its weapons as opposed to its gear. This could be a choice for the Guardian or set dpending on the gameplay. Or, hell, why not have a gameplay where the EG applies to all its gear (weapons and armour alike) but..., there is always a but. Giving the EG the full utilization of its exotic gear only means we would have to up the anti of its enemies. That is all. If you made it this far no doubt you have bloodshot eyes from staring at the screen too long and thus I commend you for your persistence. Take a look at the pole below and please share your feedback. Any and all is good.
