Why do men treat women gamers bad? I legit want true honesty here (open up)

Hey there, I'm a gamer from Texas. I have a legit question I really want to know. After encountering so many rude remarks flirting, or even observing fellow female gamers yelled at/cat called...I really wanna know why a lot if you Lads don't like women? There would be times nothing would happen and yelling name calling and harassment would arise. Almost all of the times the lady gamer werent doing anything and the male would pick at her. Either being sexual or really aggressive. I noticed male gamers would get super mad when she would try to defend herself as if she had no right to defend herself. Then there are the few sweet guys that are super quiet guys. Only 1% percent out of 99 percent. Just tell me a simple sentence of what your attitude towards women is, in the gaming community. Is it Jealousy? Nervousness? No contact with women? Or you just don't like women gaming? Thanks.
im watching he honest ok....
• I just don't understand why people always say guys treat girls bad in the gaming world. COD is the only community that I've witnessed anything like that. But generally I think it's a bunch of b.s. Anytime I've ever heard a girl being mistreated she was already asking for it. And guys treat other guys awful anyways. Get some better people to play with and mute those who are immature.

          • I personally like that there are girl gamers. I think it really is sad that my gf feels the need to hide her gender while on xbox... Keeping her name and profile pic masculine so she can play games without being harassed. There are too many asshats out there giving shit to girl gamers when really they should be treated equally.

          • I just get nervous when talking to women. It just doesn't feel like I'm playing a game when I talk to them. It makes me think I'm talking to them face to face. And I'm shy if that matters.

          • I treat them like any other gamer. If they're bitchy, annoying, or just mean I'll boot em. Doesn't matter about their skill level, I just want chill people in my lobby :/

            • I'm sure there's a definitive reason, but I'm going with my usual default: People are dicks. People with anonymity via the Internet are given the opportunity to be Uberdicks. Some of them take it. I haven't run into many women online, but with one exception, I've been kind. The exception? She called me out and teabagged me. I hunted her down the entire next game and punished her for her insolence. Gender was not part of the equation.

              • The average human is self centred, careless with their language, super sensitive to to there own flaws, projects their own feeling on to other, always assumes an attack is imminent, attacks first as a defence mechanism when failing or is seen to fail. Men are generally perceived to be "better" than women at video games therefore they are more defensive when seen to fail. Women are generally perceived to be "better" at fashion/ makeup therefore they are more defensive when seen to fail. Same shit, same reaction, same humans, different ideological sphere. Your all as bad as each other... Shut the -blam!- up and start being remotely pleasant and you might, might! Find some thing about your self that is nice... Maybe.

                • I don't care if a gamer is a girl, I won't change how I treat them. If other men start ganging up on them, I will refuse to side with them. I've been on the receiving end of unfair exclusion/ridicule too so I know how it feels too. (my dyspraxia causes speech problems some days and I struggle with social cues. I can be rather... unpredictable and blunt)

                • I treat everyone alike regardless of gender. I do discriminate against squeakers sometimes though... Either way, the only requirement to be on my friends list is to be able to handle dark, sometimes morbid humor.

                • Honestly,it's a small minority of dudes that cause problems for women. It just seems like it's more than it is because it's a loud minority.I'm not saying it's a problem that should be ignored, but it is exaggerated. Some women have terrible luck or whatever and consistently wind up in games with those types. Some women have only had it happen once or even not at all. To me,the obnoxious ones don't bother me too much.I can block/mute/leave and it's over.Maybe even engage in some trash talk if I feel like it. The ones that are too nice bother me more. They're the ones that message/invite you the minute you get online. If you tell them to stop with the messaging and/or delete them, you're a bitch who thinks she's too cool for them.If you just let it go on,it tries your sanity and eventually you start appearing offline to hide from them, which makes it more difficult to sort out games with people who you want to game with.
