Why do men treat women gamers bad? I legit want true honesty here (open up)
Hey there, I'm a gamer from Texas.
I have a legit question I really want to know. After encountering so many rude remarks flirting, or even observing fellow female gamers yelled at/cat called...I really wanna know why a lot if you Lads don't like women? There would be times nothing would happen and yelling name calling and harassment would arise. Almost all of the times the lady gamer werent doing anything and the male would pick at her. Either being sexual or really aggressive. I noticed male gamers would get super mad when she would try to defend herself as if she had no right to defend herself. Then there are the few sweet guys that are super quiet guys. Only 1% percent out of 99 percent. Just tell me a simple sentence of what your attitude towards women is, in the gaming community. Is it Jealousy? Nervousness? No contact with women? Or you just don't like women gaming? Thanks.[spoiler]im watching he honest ok....[/spoiler]

For me, I find it annoying if they specify they're a girl gamer, if it's in a forum or whatever. The only reason why they would, especially in a thread title, is for attention. I don't harass anyone or belittle anyone for it, it's just annoying. I rarely actually come across girl gamers though, at least not to my knowledge. I don't care about your gender or race or sexuality, just know what you're doing and don't be an attention wore (no matter your gender)

I have a few ideas. 1) It could be an attempt to joke around and have fun 2) People are just being assholes 3) It could be the view that girls are not all that great at video games/ not as good as guys (I play borderlands 2 with my gf from time to time and it's a bit of a slow process. She is good at AC and Dragon age though) 4) Teen guys hoping to see more than they will until after High school.

It's kinda funny. Back in my WoW days, we were doing a raid. Wife kicked one of the dps out do to chores. She then proceeded to do an arguably better job.

To be honest, I really don't have anything against girl gamers, they have just the same rights as men to do to play video games. I may be that 1% out of 99%.

Back when I was a CoD fanboy i found a few females in search and most of them were normal. BUT their was a couple of exceptions where they were the biggest assholes ever (as in verbally attacking randoms).

I have no problem with girl gamers, but I think the gaming community as a whole has a bias against them since when it first arose, video gaming was an activity that was primarily male in its demographic. Since then times have changed, but perhaps the minds of men have not.

I've only encountered one, and she was pretty funny. There was another guy in the party and we were trying to do skolas, and me and the other guy were laughing our asses off XD

Some don't get enough social interaction so When they here a beautiful voice they get nervous and it's been proven time and time again that we shun what we don't understand And things and people that are different And intimateing so I'd take it as there intimated By you Or there just assholes it's kind of fun being a asshole you should try it some time

Its mostly just the dudes who believe "women belong in the kitchen har har har" so don't let them be a label for the rest of us. Cuz thuy dum er sumting. A lot of it is really just caused by jokes taken the wrong way or just bad moods. But as a male I think the main reason is a lot of guys' pride won't let them not say something, and it's like that with other guys too. I knew this one guy who just wouldn't accept defeat and kept arguing through the entire match.

I don't have any problems with female gamers I think there awesome and can game just as good as guy gamers and I treat them like I treat them nicely unless they treat me bad

I personally have never caught any sort of abusive type language from other gamers. Occasionally the guys I play with razz me, but it's my husband's friends and we all hang out IRL, so it's typically all in good fun. I have had a few borderline creepy messages from overly hormonal preteens, but that's about it. Maybe I am just lucky.
