It's really annoying to have to wait for people to get on to form a group for Raids, Nightfalls and Heroic strikes, especially since we can't go to a public area like the Tower and recruit due to the voice chat restrictions imposed in the game. Not to mention it's hard to find people of the right level as well. Matchmaking would make this so much easier and make getting gear and leveling it less of a hassle. The Matchmaking could look for players of similar level to match you with to make sure you're not going in with anyone too low to survive, as well as balance the group by diversifying the classes, bringing in 2 of each class for raids (2 titan, 2 warlock, 2 hunter) and one of each for the Nightfall and Heroic strikes. While on the topic of Strikes, it would also behoove the player base if we could finally be able to voice chat with our random fire team members instead of having to form parties through the dashboard (X360 and XB1 versions). This should also be allowed in the Tower as well so those who are looking to form specific groups of people for Raids can do so much easier by simply talking to those around them. Being able to openly communicate with others is a staple of MMOs. Not allowing us to do is counter intuitive towards the game play in Destiny. Also, we should be able to choose the difficulty of the Raids between normal and hard. The same goes for regular strikes as well. We should be able to play strikes up to level 30 as well as difficulty modifiers for players to challenge themselves. The higher the level and difficulty modifiers, the greater the rewards. With the addition of PoE, matchmaking should be added for all modes of that activity as well, not just level 28.

  • I have a lot of friends on XBox that just don't play destiny enough. A lot of my friends aren't die hard gamers and unfortunately I have a few friend who are stuck up about their call of duty or battlefield and refuse to try destiny. I have a hard time finding friends capable of doing things like PoE with me, and it's just about impossible to find friends to do raids with for players like me who aren't elite gamers with hundreds of online destiny friends. For this reason, I would love to have the oppurtunity at matchmaking for these things. If I have the chance to throw together a fireteam, absolutely I would rather do that than any matchmaking, but I can't always do that. It bothers me that Destiny is being so tailored to die hard gamers with a big friend base. That's great for that 10% of gamers, but not for the majority 90%ers like me. Bungie isn't giving the average player the chance at a fair experience. Only the "game or die" players have a chance to get great gear in raids and PoE, and for the average player I have to grind out strange coins or the rare exotic bounty for good gear. I have had the game since the beginning an have played hundreds of hours and only have 5 exotics to show for it, while if I had the chance at raids and nightfalls and high level PoE, I could be better equipped and be able to have more to do. It feels like only half the game is open to the average player and I find myself getting more and more frustrated playing games like cod when I'd honestly much rather be playing destiny. Simply put, without an abundance of friends, I'm only getting half the experience from Bungie and it's unfortunately turning me off from a great game. I honestly don't know how much more I'll convince myself to play without these opportunities and always ending up missing out and always doing the same things over and over in the games. If Bugnie wants to compete as an elite developer with huge games in the future, I think they need to do a better job opening it up to casual/average gamers.
