Bungie - Please Ascend Raid Weapons!!

I, as well as most of the community was shocked (but not really as we kind of seen this coming) that our Year 1 Legendary weapons will not grow in power in Year 2. For me, I could careless about the non-raid legendary weapons not ascending to year 2, as I don't play PVP much. The Raid legendary weapons... that's a different story. How many times did we have to run VOG & CE to get Fate Bringer, Vision, Word of Crota... etc??? Us Guardians spent a lot of our time doing raids, and when we finally got those weapons....we celebrated, and felt accomplished. Some Guardians are still trying to get these weapons (I still need Hunger of Crota!!!) This news makes the accomplishment feel empty now. Do I keep Fate Bringer in the vault just to look at and say.... yep, I got that weapon.... but it is to under powered for the new content, so I'm going to leave it there... or dismantle it because there isn't enough vault space to hold my treasured weapons. Bungie... this is a plea, we're begging you (or at least I am)!! Please let us ascend these raid weapons!!! Make them 'raid exotics' and ascend them!!! Or, at the least, create a treasure vault where we can show off to other guardians our most treasured Year 1 raid weapons... yes I got Found Verdict... See?? Please bump so Bungie spots this post!! Edit - Thanks for the bumps & attention to the post. The more I let it sink in, the more I don't mind moving on from my raid weapons. Crossing my fingers for some new epic weapons to collect! Plus, there is some word about having a 'trophy vault' of some sort for relic weapons.

  • Remember when Bungie stated they wanted people to have lasting stories and attachments to their gear ... gear that evolved and improved alongside the player and his/her adventures? Yeah, they didn't really mean that.
