Hello,
Strikes only count towards your grimoire if launched from the planetary menu. Strikes launched from play lists, weekly heroics, or night falls do not count towards grimoire.

Okay. Is that intentional ? If so, do you know why the others wouldn't count?

However, if you're looking to do strikes grimoire, there's some tips you can do to speed it up. I'm not sure if its intentional or not. It's just the way strike grimoire has always been.
