Exaggeration out of anger.
The industry is small. A lot of journalists are friends. They were talking about their jobs. Wasn't done insidious plot to take over the world.

It is unethical to have a cross-platform schedule to what and when publish for personal profit. Also things like threats and blackmail were common to the journalists that didn't want a part in it
-
Threats and blackmail weren't a thing and coordinating when to publish something is just normal journalistic behaviour when you have embargoes on when you can release gaming news.
-
Exactly, it has become normal. The GamerGaters are tired of it. They want journalists who will try to get the correct information out as soon as possible, and have secret conversations with each other where they threat to publish/not publish certain articles ( on the private messages that these journalist shared there were threatening to the few journalists that had the courage to show that they didn't want a part in that madness )
-
Not a journalist problem. Publishers set the dates that you can release info on their game. It's just like a film critic can't publish their review until they're allowed by the film studio. Gamergate doesn't care about gaming news. It's solely a sexist group. Otherwise why just target people like Sarkeesian who has nothing to do with the news? People haven't been threatened for differing opinions.
-
Proof they have target Sarkeesian?
-
Not even going to bother. If you've managed to ignore the death threats, -blam!- threats, doxxing, mass shooting threats etc to this day then I'm not going to be able to convince you that gg is a hate group, targeting women as opposed to targeting journalists. Just Google it for yourself, there's no need for me to waste my time.

Except no where and no one (including Anita Sarkeesian) have ever provided me with evidence that the horrible things that happened where from a GamerGater
