Nothing we really can do other than be vocal. Asshole Gamergaters are doing their best to destroy equality in this entertainment medium and we all need to vocally put them in their place. Racists, sexists and homophobes have no place on this planet, never mind in a videogame community.

  • What if we could get bungie to make a new emblem and everybody that is in support of the DoD can use it in pvp

  • Would be good, but won't happen. If they didn't make a rainbow one then they'd not make one against sexism. Doubt Activision would let them get political either.

  • Maybe since it was something that happened within their game they would

  • Doubt it, but feel free to petition for it. I'm all for supporting equality just don't see it happening or them even acknowledging those Twitch comments.

  • You do know that GamerGate is about a couple
( more than a couple)
of journalists that did some quite outrageous and unethical things ( such as reviewing a game with some one you've had sexual relations with. At the extreme very least expose your bias) What do the supporters of ethical journalism have to do with any of this?

  • You're a little misinformed on the group. It's never been about ethics and has always just been anti-women. As for the review thing. Was also wrong; the journalists Quinn slept with never even covered her game. Has never been about ethics at all.

  • I have seen many Self-entitled GamerGaters who affirm it is about ethics. I have never seen a self-entitled GamerGater who affirms it is about ethics. I have never seen proof of GamerGaters attacking anyone. Even if they do, the movement is about ethics because the majority of the participants are doing it for the ethical problems.

  • What ethical problem are they attacking when the original complaint didn't even happen? You should read some Twitter posts by Gamergate advocates. See how long you believe them to have never attacked anyone because of their gender.

  • Original complaint what do you mean? If a person feels their journalists aren't ethical, and tries to change that, it is complaining. If some people are doing it right now, at least one of them had the idea, that person did the original complaint. Why does this mather?

  • Because there's nothing unethical that's been done.

Oh, so you don't think that a GAMING journalist saying that "all GAMERS are pigs" is unethical? Attacking their customer? You don't think that various journalist that work for different journals having a secret conference where they decide how to expose news to better help their personal agendas is unethical?

  • Exaggeration out of anger. The industry is small. A lot of journalists are friends. They were talking about their jobs. Wasn't done insidious plot to take over the world.

  • It is unethical to have a cross-platform schedule to what and when publish for personal profit. Also things like threats and blackmail were common to the journalists that didn't want a part in it

  • Threats and blackmail weren't a thing and coordinating when to publish something is just normal journalistic behaviour when you have embargoes on when you can release gaming news.

  • Exactly, it has become normal. The GamerGaters are tired of it. They want journalists who will try to get the correct information out as soon as possible, and have secret conversations with each other where they threat to publish/not publish certain articles ( on the private messages that these journalist shared there were threatening to the few journalists that had the courage to show that they didn't want a part in that madness )

  • Not a journalist problem. Publishers set the dates that you can release info on their game. It's just like a film critic can't publish their review until they're allowed by the film studio. Gamergate doesn't care about gaming news. It's solely a sexist group. Otherwise why just target people like Sarkeesian who has nothing to do with the news? People haven't been threatened for differing opinions.

  • Not even going to bother. If you've managed to ignore the death threats, -blam!- threats, doxxing, mass shooting threats etc to this day then I'm not going to be able to convince you that gg is a hate group, targeting women as opposed to targeting journalists. Just Google it for yourself, there's no need for me to waste my time.

  • Except no where and no one (including Anita Sarkeesian) have ever provided me with evidence that the horrible things that happened where from a GamerGater
