"Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem" - Thomas Jefferson
With translates to "I prefer the tumult of liberty to the quiet of servitude." or "I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery"
long story short I would rather have more freedoms than have less even if that means I'm not as safe.

You would still have the freedom to own guns...just not the heavier ones like assault rifles and as long as a background check is done along with a training class and psychological evaluation.

Assault rifles already require a $200 tax stamp, lengthy paperwork, lengthy approval times, and cannot have been made after May of 1986. It's almost like you're entirely unfamiliar with guns and American gun laws.

I know this might sound odd to you (even stupid) since your not from here but The USA is about Freedom not Safety. all of our freedoms are double edge swords, as freedoms normally is. We would all be safer if we had more restriction, but that is not an america i want to live in.
