The key here is that if they make the new weapons and gear desirable with better stats/perks than the current/old stuff, people will [i]want[/i] to pursue and use the new stuff. If the new crop is lackluster and just garbage, ala HoW, people will not move on. The onus is on Bungie to create compelling gear, not for us to just up and leave our tried and true gear just for the sake of false progression. Im not saying i wont move on, but only if its worth it. If they dont allow us to ascend our current gear and the TTK weapons are in line with the sh1tty HoW weapons, i will be be one pissed off, very disgruntled "entitled gamer". And im sure a LOT of other people will be too. Im reserving final judgement for the drop because i like what i see so far, but there is a lot of time till release. Weve seen a lot of things change and not always for the better.
