Simple question. If TTK turns out to be overhyped will you leave?
EDIT: Why would I leave if TTK is a disappointment? Because this is the last chance and last straw. I've given bungie to many chances, and too much money. This DLC is gonna be the most expensive and if I get an overhyped Piece of horse shit again then I'm done.
To be honest though, bungie has Greatly improved the game since the TDB disaster. So I highly doubt they'll ruin this DLC.

I'm gonna play Fallout/ Battlefront/For Honor or something else
-
I'm excited for Battlefront.

Lol any desticle buying TTK will come back. They already failed with the last 2 joke expansions full of cut content. I'm not paying the same price as a game for some dlc.
-
Already gone. 40 bucks is too much.... And Brits/Aussies paying even more than that? Activision/Bungie are a bunch of clowns to think that real gamers will buy into their shitty money grab.

I wish the polls would give the number of people that have replied to each answer. Surprised to see so many "yes" answers. For me I'm sticking it out for the 10 years just to see what they come up with. I have no issue with money so they can take mine if they want. I do plan on doing what I'm doing now though, and that's playing other games as they come out. I stopped playing Destiny for 3 weeks earlier in the year when Witcher 3 and Batman came out, just to get a break. Destiny is probably the most addictive game I've ever played, with the exception of the Xbox 360's Chromehounds (loved that game). Cheers

If its another 4 missions and a strike or what they refer to as dlc then ill play alot leas/maybe not at all.
-
Im done unless its proves the hype

If Bungie doesn't get it right this time they will see a lot more people leaving their "10 year game" lol and I will be one of them as i have already pretty much left. I will come back if TTK gets 9 out of ten on gaming websites or even a 8.5 i might come back, but otherwise have fun with your 10 year plan lol.
-
Nope. I'm going to see the game through buying all dlc till destiny 2 is announced with a decent amount of info. If destiny 2 doesn't look like it will be learning from past mistakes then i'll bail. But considering they haven been continuing to change destiny in big ways and overall improve it I doubt it'll come to that.
-
Definitely. I assume it's Sept filer until the big games start dropping in Oct. TTK will not be a game changer, although I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie is trying to treat this as a "second chance". So far they are still relying on hype over substance which is why we are getting very little details about the actual content. The weapons reveal was kind of weak and I still want them to start quantifying the content (it should speak for itself). I'm getting more burnt out on Bungie's smoke and mirror, piss poor communication about things than on the game itself (which I'm pretty burn on).
-
I'd be playing something else if anything was out to play. At least until the patch. Alas
-
I have no faith that it will be worth $40 dollars.

You guys say this every time. You'll always come back because you need me. YOU NEED MEEEEE! - DeeJ

TTK is the 'Make it or Break it' for Destiny. After two lackluster DLC's that didn't really expand the universe by much and who's replayability is questionable outside the somewhat addictive nature of Destiny as a whole? And with their price tags set at the standard DLC range, for which they have gotten endless flak when a simple glance at other MMO or AAA title games and what they released in their DLC/Expansions? (FYI; More content) TTK needs to be the true breath of fresh air for Destiny. The fanbase is almost always chomping at the bit due to Bungies continued flubs when it comes to content and content management. Balancing issues, the somewhat crazy RNG that rewards anybody for anything no matter if the player even tries (look at how many people go AFK in Crucible and still walk away with rewards) and a whole slew of issues in regards to the infamous 'Error Code:..." I would say stability should be one of the bigger goals they aim for with TTK. Not content, but coding work that will improve gameplay stability. Nothing is worse then a game you paid for, and yet can't even play. Nothing. So yeah, if TTK fails to deliver, I can see a great many players popping Destiny into it's box and leaving it there, either with fond memories, or a bitter taste of unfulfilled promises. That or dismantling it entirely from their gaming collection.

First off ttk is not going to be a failer secondly even if it was if everyone has stayed through two other failers then why would they leave just because of this one
We're not calling TTK a DLC, we're calling it a game.
Rest assured, OP. You'll get your money's worth.
If you buy the PS4 exclusive Destiny bundle with Cayde-6's useless shit, more useless shit, and look like a douchebag to all your friends!
TTK can't fail, both previous DLCs have been garbage, there's no way TTK can fail or I'd actually have to consider walking away for good.
-
To be honest I'll probably buy TTK but I don't know how much I'll play it once halo 5 is out.

Yes purely because £40 is a lot for a add on. It better hit the ground running and feel fresh and make it fun again to play with friends.

Think a lot will be dependent on if they are going to force the playerbase to regrind new weapons at each expansion. Given that there is supposedly a ten year plan I think some will just wait till the tenth year. The people joining in on the tenth year will have gear already at levels higher than people that acquired the best Raid gear years previous. This is why I hope they keep ascension in the game and turn focus to better weapon design on new weapons rather than nerfing the old weapons or keeping them at low levels. If they want people to use new gear then give them something better than shank and dreg burn. People want stuff they can use. Servitor burn, wizard burn, tank burn, sidearm with regenerating ammo, and armor with increased shield regeneration perks or health perks. There is plenty of stuff you can do with new gear to entice people to use it.

Explain what you mean by fails? If I like it, I'll carry on playing. If not, I won't. Got this feeling I will still like the game I've spent so much time on and made so many friends. Personally, I'm looking forward to it.

I see no reason why I would not like it
