It's sad that people get this worked up and entitled about a drop in a game.
Games are, by design, meant to be for fun.
If it is no longer fun, but instead a source of this much stress in your life? It's time to walk outside, see the sun.
I promise you, it won't burn as much as you think it will.
The filthy Hawkmoonses will still be there when you come back, Precious.
I'm a day 1 Playstation player, I don't have a Hawkmoon, honestly? It doesn't bother me. I prefer Fatebringer, Word of Crota or VoC. That way I can use a different exotic weapon, like icebreaker, Gjallarhorn, truth, patience and time or 4th Horseman.

I don't feel entitled. I'm complaining about the 1000 hours that I've spent in this game over the past year (almost) only to not receive the one gun I have wanted since the beginning. All the while watching my friends get it over and over, some of which are casuals. The loot system sucks.

Both of the friends I play with regularly have Hawkmoon. One had had at least 4. I just don't care that much. I have Fatebringer ascended, same with WoC and VoC. I'd rather have elemental primary damage than Hawkmoon for pve anyway. Will I buy it when Xur inevitably sells it, assuming I still don't have one? Sure. Mostly because I would like to get all of the exotics. But it's not going to ruin my day if it doesn't drop. That's what I'm trying to impress upon you. Let it go, breathe. You'll be happier in the long run.
