Of the choices you listed I would have to say Battlefield. Tough to say what the best franchise would be, there are so many good ones out there. Mass Effect was amazing. The Batman: Arkham games was the first superhero game to actually make you feel like a superhero. When I want to get my RPG on I love Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age and Fallout. Borderlands for the sheer silliness of it all. And the horror movie fan in me has always loved the Silent Hill games. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.
