Honestly I have to go with final fantasy.. Halo and COD are both extremely successful in their own right but globally i would still say the most successful would be final fantasy as it attracts a far larger audience and it has been around since the late 80's and is still going strong and they produce beautiful polished games that have alot of replay value unlike reskinned versions of the same game

Hell yeah!! I've liked all the titles obviously some more then others but they have all been engaging and entertaining one aspect i have always enjoyed is the grinding actually has a purpose and you can see your character develop over time they really do polish the hell out of every game almost to a point where they are flawless and i love the easter eggs and familiar references to older titles like clouds sword and sid good stuff
