Destiny losing players?
so apparently due to the pricing of the digital collectors edition upgrade (20$) for the taken king there are a lot of players who are giving up on destiny and throwing their guardians away. They say the 40$ taken king and 20$ upgrade is being greedy and pushing it too far. What are your opinions on the matter? is it over priced? do you think day one players like myself and so many others deserve the 3 class emotes, 3 shaders, and 3 exotic class items for free or reduced price? or do you believe it is fairly priced for such a big MMO? share your thoughts guardians

Hardly a lot of troll posters on here who quit ages ago and even a few who never even played. Destiny is very much alive an well and still growing...

Not from what I saw yesterday, tower was packed and all the patrols I went into were full to the brim. I highly doubt that Bungie are bothered by a few whiney 12 year olds who are kicking off because their parents wouldn't buy TTK for them.

People spent good money on this game and 2 dlc packs and are now locked out of all the good content now if they dont buy the latest dlc. That wrong. As many review sites have said this is going to kill gaming if all the companies start this. Greedy activision will be behind it but bungie are to blame also. They even locked the crucible content now with 3 shity rooms to play random modes, all the usual 6 rooms are locked now till you buy the latest expansion. All the weekly strikes and dailys are locked as well. Cant buy legendary armour or weapons either. Iv binned it, enough is enough.

If you're gonna compare size/price of MMO's then you also have to look at frequency. And you have to compare it to WOW. Bungie will have released relatively small DLC's that tried to invalidate previous gear 3 times in just about 1 year. (The first year, btw) Blizzard releases large scale expansions like every 2-3 years.

This is one of many reasons I would assume. Two DLC's into the game so far and there's no reason to believe Bungie will release anything truly new. Once again they promise some new story but it will be the same as now... Exposition while loading into mission. That seems to be one thing they can't patch into vanilla Destiny. Maybe Destiny 2 can do it. Not sure if I want to buy new DLC.

1 Reply$40 isn't the issue it's the fact that it's £40 that's the issue.....same price as a new game here,I'm guessing if it was $60 in America more people would complain. Wether that price is actually worth it,we will have to wait and see,until then I'm waiting.

there are a lot more reason Destiny is losing players than TTK pricing, although that has a large part to play. Playing the same thing over and over to get gear, mechanics that are never explained, constant weapon nerfing/buffing, lag, lack of servers, glitches, glitches glitches and more glitches, weapon exploits, and the big one.... LACK OF CONTENT are why people are leaving Destiny

1 Replydon't care about the price. I've played destiny much more than any game I've ever played before, that in itself justifies the price tag but 2.0 is a mess, and I feel will lose more players than the $$$. only casuals can complain about the price
