Define noob, newb, and scrub. Thoughts please.
I keep seeing these come up in the forums. Being unfamiliar with them, I looked them up and found these definitions.
newb - a new, young player who is new to the game and trying to get better. Learns from mistakes and is polite
noob - someone who has played for any length of time, but refuses to learn or uses cheap, simple tactics. Also annoys other players
scrub - synonym for noob or newb
- someone who keeps making the same mistake in a video game
- someone who adds their own rules to the game and insists everyone abide by them, too (no camping, no using this gun/character, etc.)
I keep seeing these used in contexts that don't make sense for their definitions. Unless, I'm missing what they really mean. Especially scrub. I saw it all the time for people calling Thorn users scrubs, when they were really noobs and the accuser was the scrub, telling them to not use Thorn because it was overpowered. Let me know y'alls thoughts.

A noob is someone that does cheap tactics to play a game. A newb is someone that doesn't know much about a game because they are new to it. A scrub is someone that is awful at the game and uses any kind of crutch they possibly can

Scrubs are trash ,try hard and people who think they are better then anyone but suck. Everything else is just the same with noob. Person who is fresh to the game. Honestly noob isn't an insult.

Noob - new or slightly inept player who messes up but gets there in the end Newb - new player Scrub - long term player with poor game skills or player who uses crutches to mask poor play style

Newb= a newbie, someone who has just gotten the game and doesn't know much. Noob= a person who has no hope of doing good in the game and has no idea about the game mechanics or story. Scrub= someone who uses cheap weapons or cheeses sections of the game.

Noobs are people who are new to the gameplay and mechanics and just the game overall Scrubs are assholes who are aware of the games mechanics and obviously the exploits . Scrubs use the cheap way to gain the advantage even if its a chore on thier behalf .
