It's hard to say really as 90% of being good is just gun skill and map knowledge, so I guess learn to aim well and learn the flows of the maps (where people spawn, where people camp, the paths people take to get between points) And use that to your advantage. Also probably try and keep your distance from people as about 80% main a stupid shotgun. Learn to snipe and life is amazing haha
