The Handcannons would be fine...
...if they actually required headshots to be effective.
The problem is that many of them - EX: Thorn and The Last Word - don't, and they can just melt you with body shots that they rattle off in hip fire or chest shots that they rattle off hoping one is a headshot too. Even during the reign of the SUROS Regime and Auto Rifles, you still had to consistently drill people in the head to melt them; now Handcannons achieve the same thing but with much less effort.
And don't give me that "Oh, they're getting headshots though!" line. We all know they're not - especially when they're rattling off those panic fire shots at damn near AR speed or you're getting melted by Thorn DoT.

3 Replies& AR's throwing us a wall of bullets is somehow better? I'd be happier if EVERY gun was 1-2 two shot kills. Make use of the hard cover, & tactics.

5 RepliesEdited by Ninjabredmann: 7/20/2015 7:46:03 PMErr I main the last word in Pvp and you still need 2 headshots and a body(anywhere else) shot to kill someone with it effectively It takes 4-5 body shots (ads) and 3 (hip fire) [referencing some guy in comments] to kill someone using it for pure body shots and shit like Messenger kills you with 2 bursts in return and higher range Thorn 2 headshots and burn will kill you, you still need 4 body shots (or 3 and run away but if you're in his face its gonna need to be 4 or risk double KO) I die to shotgunners and rockets a lot too whilst fanning the last word for kills but just Learn your class and weapons and stop your whining Edits: bracketed PS > (let's be honest if you body shortted with tlw through hip fire, chances are its a panic fire since the guy is too close to you, it's not gonna be full body shots but likely body and leg or something, there's a lot of recoil animation which my mind goes *slow down*, hence usually takes 4+ shots, more than enough time to be countered) Learn your class and stop your whining

1 ReplySome people are just super awesome and some aren't. I have been killed by people that truly were good with hand cannons, scout rifles, pulse rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns and whatever not (think I only haven't seen truly skilled player using auto rifle in PvP). Personally I have tried to run around using Hawkmoon in PvP but soon realised that I should stick to pulse rifles as I did before because I suck with hand cannons in PvP. And the DoT is so miniscule it almost doesn't matter.

3 RepliesThorn only needed 3 shots to kill, one being a head shot and two body shots. Personal use experience here. The thorn was over powered. Now though?? It's going to just get worse. The DOT got buffed if anyone paid attention.....

TLW is meant to be hip fired at AR speeds though... If you come across someone doing that, they're using the weapon correctly
