I agree with what they are doing to auto rifles, and the change to Necrochasm is EXACTLY what I've asked for. Don't nerf Gjallahorn. Much better solution would have been to buff Truth and DB so that they were on a par. Dragon's Breath: add tracking. The real issue is that it is dumb fire. If it tracked it would be usable. 2nd, make the flare a sticky so that it attaches to the target and does damage over time. This would give DB an effect like the wolfpack rounds that do damage over time. Truth: already tracks, so it only needs a damage over time feature. Add a void vortex that sticks to the target and you're done. Now it has damage over time I hate how Bungie thinks the solution is to nerf things. If one weapon in a given category outshines the others, then buff the others to be on a par with the one. Nerf the single best heavy in the game? Really???

  • I hate how players think the solution is only to buff things. Go learn about power creep in video games, then retype your post. That, or just delete it.

  • Power creep is not an issue if everything around the player scales accordingly. Couple this with proper pacing, then it's all good.

  • If you buff everything to be the same as G-Horn, then the kill times definitely become too fast, so you increase everything else around it, to include non exotic weapons and enemy health, making kill times just as long as if you just nerfed the single weapon to begin with. The more things you change, the more chances of breaking things too. Which one would Bungie rather do? Change one or two weapons, or change several hundred weapons (to include adding all new features to the weapons, not just simple damage changes), as well as a dozen other mechanics to keep everything balanced just to avoid the power creep? You guys are so blinded by your precious Ballerhorn and Thorn getting Nerfed, you don't see the amount of work you're trying to demand Bungie do, when it would be much easier to nerf the overpowered weapons, then adjust other factors as they come.

Power creep happens over a long span of time, it shouldn't happen in a SINGLE update. That's why it is called creep. The issue with ghorn isn't exactly with the weapon itself, it's the issue with the other exotic rocket launchers, namely dragon's breath and to a lesser extent machine guns. If you took ghorn AND truth out of the game, I still would NEVER use dragons breath. Also, the encounters in this game just aren't too interesting or exciting and really serve as a time sink. They could be made to be a lot more interesting and fun than say, RocketMcDickFace.

  • Power creep or not, same principle. Also, your loss with Dragon's Breath. Then again, you're probably one of those players who can't dumb fire a rocket to save your life.

  • I agree with what you're saying but we cant do anything really. Let's wait to see how this nerf will actually affect these weapons. Hopefully not too much
