I know you're trying to troll but final round snipers are just pointless now, they shouldn't have nerfed it. Hear me out, have you ever seen someone not get killed by a headshot with a sniper rifle (not including lag-skipping)? I haven't. If FR only triggers on headshots what's the point of having it as a perk, when there are other perks that actually help get headshots. And if you're even slightly decent with a sniper, it should be common -blam!-ing sense to aim for the head making FR pointless. FR was only a viable option on snipers so that you could get insta-kill body shots. Now that's gone so there's no point in keeping the perk available to snipers at all, if it still is. I'd just like to say thank you to all the whiney little bitches who would idiotically run into a room packed with snipers and quickly be shot to pieces. It is your own lack of skill and strategy that caused your hilarious deaths and prompted you to beg bungie to make the game easier, like a pathetic noob.

  • It was being overused in Trials of Osiris. People waste ammo and pick up GUARANTEED special ammo crates every round to use it over and over. They could kill one person and the team rushes, annihilate the other two and pick up another special ammo crate, rinse and repeat and there's an easy win. It's bullshit, I'm laughinf over the nerf. I only evee had two Final Round snipers, my beautiful LDR and my Longbow. I'm so glad it got nerfed, now I can use them in PvE. I'm wondering how powerful my LDR headshots will be now.

  • Then why bother keeping it on the perk list in the first place? People were abusing it way before trials came out and yet they nerf it now? If they had wanted to fix it they could've made you spawn with no special ammo at all and then have to wait for the ammo resupply boxes to spawn. That makes the trials themselves more intense and would cut down on the number people bitching about it both before and after the nerf. And I love longbow but never did I waste 4 shots, 4 shots which could've been headshots, just so I could get to the final round. Doing so, in my opinion, places one on the same level as those who must lag-skip in order to get kills. -blam!-ing pathetic.

    It's because there was never really a solidified endgame for PvP. People play Trials much more than IB simply because IB doesn't provide the feeling of short weekly endgame content that is rewarding. I get more Ethetic light from Trials, better (and imo bettering looking) gear, and more chances at exotic drops. When it became overused in the newer endgame content, it got hit by the nerf hammer. As for the special ammo, no. That would have been silly, because everyone would avoid that issue as they do now with the Ice Breaker. That would simply put another great exotic on the chopping block for a mistake the community would make. And then it causes another uproar, rinse and repeat. Yes, it is quite pathetic and cheap to waste four potential headshots for a guaranteed kill. But this was all Trials of Osiris' fault. Due to it being a 3v3 elimination gamemode, the lack of players on either team would result in a single death in such a short amount of time on either side, crippling the downed player's team while providing the opposing fireteam with a massive advantage due to sheer numbers. That one person makes the difference in Trials, especially when the two people separate and then it becomes 3v1 against both of those players. You hear less complaints about Final Round in large gamemodes such as Control, Clash and Combined Arms for a reason. There are more players to continue to fight other than two. It made it too easy to access endgame content, and that is why it got nerfed.

  • Well then I guess the only thing bungie could've done to avoid this "uproar" is to have made final round not available on snipers. Ever. That or they could admit to the fact that they are in way over their heads for the development and management of this game, that partnering with Activision is the worst decision they've made, and that the game should've been released with all the expansions as a finished product that wasn't still laughably similar to the beta version.

  • Because Trials is virtually end game content. Final round was making a mockery of their content so they got rid of it. Pretty simple. I'll agree with ya that the perk is useless now though. I'll also say I'm ok with it being useless. Not like there isn't useless perks in the game already.
