Not attempting to make you mad just a question I've always been curious about.
Is it true that all non native aboriginal Australians are descendants of criminals?

There are no non-native Aboriginals in Australia. There are native Australians (Aboriginals) and European settlers and the convicts that came with them. I descended from someone who was deported from Britain, whether or not he was a criminal is debatable. ;)

So it was a jail colony! Fack that would suck to know you are a descendant of absolute scum. Your relatives were so bad they shipped them off to an island to die away from the rest of civilization. Wonder what immoral act your relatives did? Murder or probably -blam!-.. Maybe child molestation those are the only things I can think of bad enough to ship people off to die for!
-
Not, it was something quite innocent, actually. I've said it a couple times already I here, so a bit of sifting would turn up a result. I guarantee you'll be quite amused.

Deported = criminal

Pomes - prisoners of mother England. Not actually sure what that means but that's the saying
-
Yet they call us English pommies.
-
Yeah I had an Australian friend who's dad used to call me a pome, maybe it's an insult because we are still in England? I feel I should know the answer...
-
When I flew out two years ago to see my Grandad (he retired there), I was asked at immigration whether I had a criminal record? I replied that I didn't know you still needed one to get in!
-
Go figure eh?!
-
Just a general term for Englishmen in our country. Also, it's 'pomm' or 'pommie'. ;)
