A Scout Rifle a day...
...Keeps the Exotic handcannons at bay.
I am a weird player. I love scout rifles. I almost exclusively use scout rifles for my primary. In both PvP and PvE. On both characters (TITAN and warlock) I have ascended scouts of evey element.
-Vision of Confluence
-Fang of It Yut
-The Scholar (adept)
-Mida Multi Tool
This is home to me. Any situation is ready do go. I have 27,000 PvP kills with scouts.
Because i always have a scout, I only use shotguns for secondary. Scout + shotgun combos excellently. Found Verdict, and invective. (I'm no Felwinters matador scrub)
Some honorable mentions are Ghelions Demise, A1 RYL, and One/one synthesis. But let's be honest, all scouts are great. I even have an old green one that lets me pick up ammo when I shoot it.

I love Scouts as well, Mida and Gheleons are my goto tbh. I am using PR's more at the mo, I recently decided against using HC's as it's getting boring, Hopscotch is brutal.

I'm strictly scout and hand cannon primaries. Hated hand cannons, now I use them mostly in PVP. PVE is all scout all day, everyday. Have a maxxed, ascended VOC on each character, couple of Fangs, and my Satereinne Rapier. Of the new ones I really like my Deadshot Luna, just can't spam the trigger fast enough, therefore, I'll probably try to reroll for full auto. I have one full auto, one with Firefly and may try to combine them. I do have the new Orange Scout Salvation I think with full auto and firefly. Honestly have not played with my Ghelions enough to form a valid opinion.

Scouts have stayed strong and reliable all through out. I highly doubt they will receive changes so they are a good choice to stick with.

Absolutely love my Gheleon's Demise! Got it this IB and rolled for Full Auto and Zen Moment (not the best second perk but oh well). A full auto scout that's a three shot kill seems to work well for me! Never really given scout rifles any love until recently (need that Grimoire 😉)!

I used to do this. I found myself outgunned a lot because I like to get up close and personal. So I ended up switching to a faster ttk weapon class. But I feel you.

6 RepliesI have found my primary inventory filled with just different scout rifles - NL Shadow with FA and crowd control, gheleons demise on FA and third eye, Salvation state with explosive rounds and third eye. I'm working on a hygiea noblesse with rodeo and third eye. I use MIDA a lot. So my next is a one/one synth or a high road soldier with third eye and single string - closed thing to a legendary MIDA I hope. I wish they expanded the reforge inventory for scout rifles. It's weird that the scholar is the only one with reactive reload.... Besides FA and rodeo the first column to scouts have all the new weapon perks that are either better on secondaries or just useless.

Hey man, if you ever get a NA3D1 Salvation State, give it a go! I have full auto and firefly, and it is my go to legendary scout now! (MIDA still my baby)

1 ReplyI use scout rifles with my blade dancer. I still own my first rifles, they are a green valka S4, Yamaduta S4, which I loved with his explosives rounds and his ability to pick up ammo by shooting them ( and it is quote useful also now at 34 if i need ammo but there are too much enemies) My first legendary scout was the crusader I with second chance and third eye. I used it a lot and I started loving the third eye perk. Now I have a NA3D1 state of salvation with rodeo and third eye and I like it but I m trying to get a perfect scout rifle by reforging the others that I have

Afterwards I fell in love with auto rifles and dabbled with handcannons. After the AR nerf, I bought MIDA and really liked it. Been using scouts and handcannons in PvE and PvP ever since.

5 RepliesI love using the scholar or fang (I don't have vision) with Lord of wolves but the only map that are optimized for scouts is shores of time. I can't wait till combined arms so I can rock my scout. I use to try to use a handcannon and sniper until I got bored of handcannons and realized I do much better with a scout rifle and shot gun setup
