CoD is better than Destiny
This isn't a retarded rant, like all the other shit on this subforum but instead a valid argument so shut up if you're one of those retarded Desticles with Tourettes.
The amazing gunplay in CoD sets an ever improving bar for the shooter genre. Though difficult to replicate and often leading to failure (Titanfall, Halo 4) it provides realistic, almost simulation like immersion. Even in the worst of the series, Ghosts (still a brilliant game) I never felt like there was something fundamentally wrong or that there was a way to exploit it. In Destiny it's just everybody exploiting 2 hit kill guns like thorn and last word. It's frustrating and laggy at best.
Weapon balance in Call of Duty also is renowned for its excellency and the developers acknowledging critiscism very well. Admittedly weapon balance is never perfect upon launch (true for most games). Sledgehammer games have been very open with sharing weapon balancing plans and have done a very good job so far. With the next update I believe that there will be now no useless weapons in Advanced Warfare. A considerable feat. In Destiny if you're not using a felwinters sniper rifle and a thorn you're doing it wrong. Everything else is obsolete.
Connectivity issues in CoD are at an all time low in comparison to Destiny with its awful lag and netcode and random disconnection errors. I almost never get kicked or lag from advanced warfare and it's only when the servers or PSN are down for maintenance.
The common stereotype of small children playing CoD is now also a complete fallacy consdiering many of the 8 year old squeakers now play Destiny and pollute [quote][/quote]the servers there.
CoD also has zombies which is just as fun if not more than any raid or prison of elders made by the guy who made me throw money at my screen.
CoD also has a brilliant and engaging story unlike Destiny. And it doesn't overprice it's DLC (which is entirely optional and not mandatory like Destiny). And CoD doesn't make me want to throw money at my screen. And DeeJ is a pegboy.

As much fun as I have with the campaigns in CoD, they're only fun because of the chaos and diversity (stealth missions, different environments, vehicle usage, etc). The stories are lack luster and next to useless so I don't see that as a point for CoD. I was never a fan of the multiplayer so I'm probably a little bias but I found it lacked in realism. I know it's a game but one of its "foundations"--by which I mean main argument points--is that it is realistic. I'm sorry but if I shoot someone three times in the spine then they turn around and knife my elbow and I'm the one to die, something is fishy. Again, I'm probably bias. I also feel in CoD whomever saw who first would win the fight whereas in Destiny I feel getting the drop on someone doesn't ensure victory. Which at least makes CoD slightly MORE realistic so that balances the crazy knifing:P TL;DR probably bias but I think CoD lacks story and PvP is bleh. Campaign is still really fun and diversified.

It also has an extremely, almost nonexistent skill gap. Anyone can be good. It's a very casual friendly game, not saying destiny isn't, but even destiny has better gunplay and a higher skill gap than cod. Cod promotes the worst kind of play styles. Either extremely campy or overly spastic game play. Honestly, it's just boring and frustrating. Don't get me wrong. I'm not bad at cod. I had like a 1.8 k/d in ghosts, which was only second cod game other than black ops 2. Sure cod has a lot over destiny such as connectivity and story, but to say cod has better gunplay is completely ludicrous.

COD DLC is entirely optional, whereas you're missing out on tons of content (by Destiny standards) if you don't buy the next Destiny DLC. And we need to stop the stereotype that COD is a bad game series. At its core, COD is a fantastic, fast-paced, balanced PvP game.

Edited by Bruno: 7/12/2015 2:46:55 PMI'm not saying Cod is bad, but the community repels me and the story feels the same in all Cod games after Cod 4 Mw (excluding stealth level in Aw). There is still exceptional gunplay and some diversity in the franchise (CoD4, Bo, Bo2, AW).
