What for anyways? All I remember was a spark of popularity for him brought about a period of gimmick post spamming like what we had recently.

I don't recall him having a gimmick. Apparently he spammed everyone's likes for a day or two (but not mine (-;_;), so I've only heard about it). He's an oldfoman, and he's seems cool though, so there's that.

Well, that kind of is a gimmick, even if it was just temporary, and it resulted in everyone trying to get popular by spamming stuff for a little while.

I feel like that was a while before the more recent influx of spammers though.

Yeah, it wasn't as bad as this spam. I don't even know what triggered all these recent spammers to pop up and what not.
