Destiny is changing from light levels to an item level/gear score system. Thank. God. Light level is dumb.

No, I will stop playing if it's a goddam item level like Warcraft. That is the worst thing they could do.
-
Because I have 167/168 light, I am 33% weaker than a lvl 34 guardian. Totally more legit than a GS system
-
Have you ever played Warcraft and had to deal with the ILvl? Probably not. Light Level is a much easier and more acceptable way to up the ante for end game content. Unless Bungie does their item level/gear score differently.
-
I am quite familiar with ilvl ( hints the reference in my first post) Light level is a watered down version of item levels. A piss poor one at that. What makes iLvl so complicated...?

Well okay ILvl essentially is the score of your gear obviously. But in WoW in endgame content, people will only look for and invite you if your item level is above or equal to their requested ilvl. Not only that but it takes a lot of grinding to get the higher ILvl gear. In wow there's a lot of ways to obtain it so it's easier and enjoyable but Destiny doesn't fit that scene.
