Solo Crota's End for Flawless Raider
I only have 2 achievements left. Upgrade a Hunter sub-class, and FLAWLESS RAIDER!
So on Saturday I started my personal quest - get flawless raider by soloing Crota's End.
I'd never attempted to solo before. After lots of hours over this weekend learning how to solo this raid, after crap loads of wipes, a few early lucky runs, and too many "so close!" moments, I've got every part down near perfect.
But since then I'm stuck in this nightmare cycle of just having a major blunder every run...
..Messing up a run through the hall after the bridge (shriekers and thrall!!), getting swiped by ninja knights, running straight into an exploding thrall that appears out of nowhere or messing up the jump across the bridge.
It doesn't seem to matter how perfect everything is going, something always ruins the run. I'm starting to get really pissed off.
Any tips? Anyone that solo's flawless, how do you get through it without losing concentration?
The worst part for me is the period between killing the death singer, and being able to activate the crystal. That bit is just tedious. Acolytes constantly spawn out the doors, 2 yellow bar knights with swords constantly spawn either side and manage to sneak up and ninja me while my guard is down. Any tips for this part? How does it work? Do I have to kill a certain amount of knights before the last part of the raid begins, or is it just on a timer? .. the amount of times I've done this raid and I haven't figured that out yet and keep getting caught off-guard!
Also a good strat for killing the sword bearer at crota would be great.. just gally from above? sniping him? Or gally /shotty..
[spoiler]I'm not going to do the Hunter sub-class achievement any time soon. I can't put myself through those story missions any more. It's painful[/spoiler]

1 Replyhere is my flawless run as a hunter it may help some. I use very safe tactics for the most part on this run and I waited for synths so it took a while. I typically run through it much quicker now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lccd03miSXM but I see you run as warlock or titan. I run things differently now. For all classes do the lamp skip at the rock by blinking up to platform or for titan just use higher jump. It's easiest on titan. Then for bridge I also fly across using blink from pillar on right for both lock/hunter. For titan again higher jump is really easy here. Now for shrieker hall see my video, I like to hop on second coffin and gally second shrieker from there it's very safe and then retreat. For death singer use galli's and take down wizards and shriekers on left first, then do the same on right. Clear the room and don't hit deathsinger until she starts to sing. Then use blackhammer, 6 headshots kill her. Clearing after deathsinger is just tedious. Now for crota fight I like to take down sword bearer quick with golden gun, but if you are warlock/titan then use a shotgun. Try for double downs on crota. With practice it just becomes easier and easier so I would say just keep running it but try not to get too frustrated. Also practice a section if you struggle with it. So if crota is what you struggle on then do that part and don't do final slam and kill yourself to try again.
