I had the same issue my fellow guardian. My issue was that whenever someone would call our house and our cordless phone(keyword its cordless/wireless it put out a signal ) would ring, our internet would stop. I would be disconnected with xbox live and all that. Now we have charter and our phone line and internet line come through the same cord so i called them about it. They sent a technician out and couldn't find anything wrong. So i talked with some of my tech buddies and got to looking turns out My wireless phone signal was the same frequency as our wifi router so whenever there was an incoming called the cordless phone would jam the wifi router ( ours is a net gear) Solution either get rid or change wireless phones,answering machines if thats the problem or change wifi routers or Hardline your xbox directly from your modem with and eithernet cable
