Hunters are fantastic in the end game content in PvE. PoE they are unbeatable for dismantling mines, they are unbeatable for soloing the first part of crotas end and for killing crota. Nightfalls they are superb for reviving teammates and are orb factories when golden gunning. Overall I would say they are pretty epic and much more useful than my beloved titan. I should add I have only got my hunter to level 2 so haven't used them yet but as robbie burns once said "O, wad some power the giftie gie us.
