then perhaps a system linked to destiny accounts that have played destiny for a certain number of hours which limits a 1 like per person scenario, since people are not going to buy multiple copys of destiny and play for hours on end to farm/spam up-vote someone

still would be manipulated for unless they set it to something like 100+ hours which they will not ever do it would still be easily manipulated by anyone that wanted too. a modded controller and left the game running while sleeping/working and you can easily get enough hours on an alt acount to use to spam/farm votes. and yes there are people that would do it just for the sake of being seen as better than someone else. ranking systems never work, they do not prove anything about how well a person knows the game or what is best for the game, they only prove who is popular and who is popular does not mane them right or better than someone else ever. ranking sytems are only for the ego driven people who need to prove they are better than someone else. wanted by people who think that they are better and only their opinion should matter about how a game should be and no that is never the best way for any game ever.

i think some simple checks are easy to register for the b.net level system 1) has only one b.net account for his/her IP 2) must own destiny(easiest way to do this is to go in game and click a specific icon that gives you a unique code tied to your game to link directly to your single b.net account) 3) must have a guardian over level 20 4) the like dislike system will be on credibility and show all who liked the post(to prevent bots) and previous posts of the users 5) users will only be ably to like a certain amount of things based on their level(a level one user can only like one thing while a level 2 user can like 2 things and eventually it caps at 10 to prevent post Spam and people browsing the forums for too long) 6) the forum then can be changed to have a section of high priority over the trending or highest rated mainly because the highest rated and trending will hide topics if left alone for too long which makes posts that have over 1000 likes pointless when compared to the 100 some that are there now(why they did this instead of giving forum mods the ability to say this topic has been achieved or this topic is non applicable and then remove it from the top is beyond me) are these things exploitable? EDIT: while i do see people going power crazy with ranking systems i dont agree with the grab hat style the forums have become for bungie, if they want to know what the community wants and they refuse to ask this is the best way possible to meet in the middle

ip checks mean nothing, you can use a vpn and play the game and thus have a different ip each time as wanted or needed. there is no 100% way to stop it ever. and you can have multiple accounts on a console and they wont ever limit it to just one account per 1 copy of the game ever. Guardian over 20 takes no time to get at all. you can start a new toon and be 20 in 1 day if you want buy one vendor item and you are over 20 in less than 1 day. reputation systems do not work on forums ever for they are and always will be abused they are never accurate or truthful nor does it make what any one person says more important than someone else ever like those with high rep like to think it would or does or should. even if it showed all who liked it would not prevent bots for there would be no direct knowing if was a bot or not, for they wont ever have it show ip addy and you can hide you gt and account play info from the forums and they wont ever remove that either for some rep system. the only reason a system like this is wanted is for those who like to think that their ideas are more important or more worthy than someone else and no that is not ever the case for any game ever. it would never work it would be manipulated they would never police it to make it of any true value.

No person on these forums ever has or ever will have more credibility or deserve more respect from anyone ever than anyone ever. Does not matter this forum does not need any sort of ranking/reputation system for those are always abused and there is no way to prevent it ever. Just like they cannot prevent all forms of cheating in the game ever. The whole need of comment to reappear is so only commented on posts stay at the top so no one post stays at the top all the time. there is no reason or need for static posts ever. and no people that are high ranking do not know what is best for the game for no one persons view or groups view should be considered more than any other person or group ever as what is best or better for the game.

then why does bungie keep letting you tubers with high status get to have a word of input on what the game needs? or streamers, or high ranking clans, no matter what you do if you don't give the little guys a chance at power their can be no change abuse is just a part of the process and is subject to upgrades over time, its not going to hurt to have a ranking system as many other forums have them and don't seems to have failed, in fact war frame has forums filled with creative ideas that never get pushed to the side.... its a wonder why they took them out on b.net in the first place
