SGA or PI?
I was handing in some bounties with my Warlock and I came across the infamous "Vanguard Mentor Missive" with three options for an exotic weapon bounty. The options were as follows:
"Shattered Memory Fragment" (Pocket Infinity EFR)
"A Voice In The Wilderness" (Super Good Advice EMG)
"Toland's Legacy" (Bad JuJu EPR)
I've gotten exotic bounties before, and upon completing them I received Bad JuJu & Invective. And when I had received the "Vanguard Mentor Missive", the bounties lead me to the options of one of three exotic weapons: Thorn, Bad JuJu & Invective (as previously mentioned).
When I received this bounty I was disappointed that the Thorn bounty (it's name I can't remember at the moment), was not there; as I had failed to choose that one before. Not that I would give up my Invective or my Bad JuJu for it, I just wish I knew how much easier PvP would be if I had gotten it, but that's neither here nor there.
So when I looked up what gun I would be acquiring upon the completion of the bounty, I was even more disappointed to find out that the both of the two I would want to choose (I don't need a second bad juju, that's the almost damn near the definition of redundant) had considerably unimpressive reviews (Super Good Advice & Pocket Infinity).
I'm not really a fan of fusion rifles, especially if the charge rate is as slow as it is, no matter how much damage I can deal out. Furthermore, I have Thunderlord already as an Exotic MG I use exclusively with my Hunter. And seeing is how Thunderlord is better in about every possible aspect besides the fact that it can't return missed shots into the magazine, there would be no reason for me to acquire another EMG unless I was purposely collecting all exotic weapons.
Curious of those who may have personally used these weapons, or use them now however regularly, if either of them are worth the trouble. Or if they share my opinion in that I have received one of the most disappointing Exotic weapon bounty opportunities possible.

1 ReplyVision of confluence, black hanmer and SGA, my standard loadout for atheon. Sga is a oracle killing machine, also the detainment sheilds. Anything that isnt a mob doesn't count and youll very slowly run out of bullets in the mag.

1 ReplySga is awesome in the right situations, almost every miss is back in the tank. You can stand and spray for what seems like eternity. I was really excited about getting Pocket infinity but after the novelty has worn off it is a huge let down, very difficult to control and empties you out of special ammo within seconds. I just dropped the kell legendary fusion rifle and it's much better :(

1 ReplySGA is an amazing gem that's overshadowed by PvP fanboy bias. There are multiple enemies in pve that SGA melts with no cost of ammo to you and PvP side it is an intimidating weapon to use if used right. I have destroyed whole teams trying to capture points on control that would have been impossible for tl to handle. The only better lmg is jolders at doing that job.

2 RepliesWell, i like them all. I use them all. I prefer my Bad Juju of the choices. That being said, Exotics are my pokemon, i gotta have em all.

4 RepliesSuper Good Advice isn't the best but it's definitely fun to use. It has a bad recoil from a patch a long time ago. Pocket Infinity isn't all that great to me, it eats ammo in crucible

3 RepliesEdited by Lauthier: 6/29/2015 8:06:50 AMSa was the first exotic bounty I ever completed. I was still a noob at the time and knew nothing about what weapon I would get for completing it. I got it and it was awful. I decided to give it a shot and upgrade it, I didn't think it was worth the exotic slot. About a month ago, I needed more vault space after HoW dropped, and I sharded it. If your looking for an exotic shard, this is the weapon for you.
