Dude, vets spent weeks at lvl 29 patrolling a pre-planned route that would get them the most mats/random events. They would play VoG every week just for the chance at some boots. (Which I never got.) Kinderguardians these days have it easy...

Sorry if I had a full time job and didn't get to rank high enough with the queen in time. I honestly thought she was here to stay, but I was here for the beta, when you can only reach level 8. I'm not a vet, I'm a founding father. You guys are my vets. ;)

I was here for the beta as well! So I guess you were right, I'm no vet; just a Founding Father! ;D Also, Queens rank 3 was easy to make if you were willing to grind The Guard, and only the Guard. It's really our (the players) fault that it never came back because everyone just kept complaining about the ascendant shard nerf on the gear. I guess Bungie decided it was best to make it exclusive... It makes sense when you think about it: People used the event for ascendants, so Bungie nerfed the ascendants. It was like a subtle hint really; DON'T SHARD THIS GEAR, it's a one time only event! Whether they had that in mind at the time or not, I cannot say, but it worked out. Queen's Guard gear is the REAL Year 1 reward for vets if you ask me...

Ok because you stood in one area and shot enemies four hours makes you a real vet. Lol

I still jump onto Mars patrol to do that from time to time with the ol' Icebreaker! Not for gear or drops, but just for a nice calm sniping experience/nostalgia!

Kinderguardians. That's exactly what you are. I don't even consider myself a vet and all my stats and records are higher than yours. You've never even to the Lighthouse. You wouldn't call me a Kinderguardian if you truly knew what my emblems meant, "vet."

Edited by LoneWolfRei: 6/28/2015 10:45:03 PM??? I just didn't buy the DLC son! I was running those routes and even in the first 100 players to get everyone's favorite weapon: The Thorn! So yeah, I think veteran status comes from being here when the game was a bit more monotonous and there was far less content. You know, when ARs destroyed, before First Light and Bastion got pulled from control (Such a dark, DARK day.) Back when Bad Juju was literally BAD, as in, you couldn't use it for anything, especially PvE. When you couldn't buy mats or get ascendant shards. How about the Queen's bounties?? We're you here for those, I hear that there was only a two week period to get those and that was it. Well, I was there, fair kinderguardian! I got my Supremacy and Queen's hood back when people thought we would see that event again.... Those were the days. I'll be at the Lighthouse as soon as TTK drops! :)

Real OGs will always remember the loot cave... ah the good ole days!!!!

Hahaha The loot Cave was such a calm bonding experience! If you got a legendary engram you KNEW that RaFOOL was going to switch your legendary item with a blue while he pocketed the legendary for himself! He's still pretty bad, but at least he isn't ripping player off left and right!
