•
Explain to me what your definition is... Republican: heartless, works only to benefit large corporations while receiving kickbacks Conservative: staunchly resistant to any change. Usually bible thumpers, refuse to stray from religious beliefs despite contradictory evidence and the majority of the country against it thus losing supporters. Democratic: dumb, can't think two steps ahead. Will sink country financially to try and end poverty which is impossible. Liberal: despite the name liberal, as in liberty or free, works to expand massive government control and oversight. Only rights or freedoms they fight for are LGBT. Infringes heavily on personal liberty.
• Republican:
One who believes the best form of political organization is the republic, i.e. Government by representatives of the public. Not to be confused with Publicans, who believe the best form of organization is the round, or Pelicans, who are staunch monarchists.
Conservative:
One who generally prefers to keep the status quo rather than risk change. In practice, this is often conflated with hardline Christian beliefs, an emphasis on free market economics over government intervention, and allowing dipshits like Rick Perry to run for office.
Democratic:
Exhibiting qualities of democracy, the core principle of which is that political authority ultimately resides with the general populace rather than any select group. Most famous ancient example is the Athenians, who were fans of democracy, parthenons, and grown men having sex with little boys.
Liberal:
Derived from the word liberty, meaning one who seeks to make society freer through positive change. Often associated with government intervention in economic markets and tolerance of non mainstream social or religious views. See also: Mad Max.
For the social/big picture: Conservative: Maintain tradition, for better or worse. Highly skeptical of change. Progressing society is ineffective and scary. Knee jerk aggressive reactions for following old dogma is how we maintain superiority. Often willfully ignorant of how much control we really have over our social and economic environment. Liberal: Progressives. Change is good, we need to innovate society to make our lives better. Take care of the poor, they shoulder the weight of making society function. Equality for all. Reparations for past oppression, assuring a new world of diversity. Life can be what we make it, we aren't at the whims of pointless, endless suffering. Often ignorant of the bloodshed or long suffering required to change the status quo.

                                    • Republican: I don't know the founding principles of the party, but I'm guessing socially-orthodox, economically-liberal are the right phrases. Traditionalists. Conservative: someone wanting to maintain or restore values from the past. Also, the name of the UK's biggest right-wing party. Liberal: someone wanting to increase social freedoms, especially on a personal level. Paradoxically, fiscally conservative, wanting to control the economy in service of as many people as possible. Democratic: something supporting democracy, i.e. the state controlled by its people.
