Destiny is starting to turn out like another major gaming franchise, you all know who I mean. There is no real reason to provide a collectors editon (CE) for Destiny 1 TTK Expansion Edition, however that would be appropriate/acceptable for a Destiny 2. By creating a CE they have introduced un-timed exclusives which isn't smart as lots of the players like to collect stuff even without the vault space to fit it.
Nobody really wanted to pay for this stuff considering long term players have paid more than enough to get up to and including TTK, but because some players don't understand value vs percieved value the community has been slapped in the face with "pay $20 and get 9 items" which is a big microtransaction, if this sort of thing is allowed to stand soon season passes wont allow you to get everything during the 'season'.
Pricing is 100% fine for the physical CE and the legendary edition, they are perfectly priced IMO.
$40 for TTK is not ok when the previous DLC 1&2 were poorly recieved, I understand TTK looks (so far) like it will be awesome, but you DO NOT get to charge this high a price point to CONTINUE after the initial release was a small rock dropped in an ocean and the DLC's were a couple of ripples through the sea.
Charging $20/$25 IMO would be the best price point (the best would be free as a thank you for all the f---ups over the year, but I don't see that happening and don't think it as [i]absolutely [/i]necessary) and this would honestly make a lot of Destiny players feel like you care that they stuck around through all the BS.

I care for Destiny but I'm not pre ordering the taken king or buying it right away. I enjoy the game but I have not seen anything that is going to make me spend $40 for that dlc. The $40 isn't that much but it is too much for repetitive content.

Alot voting no now. I guess theres more people than I thought unhappy about the direction the game has gone with ttk. Polls i did a few weeks ago there were about 55% getting it and about 15% undecided and 30% not getting it. Personally im getting forza 6 tomorrow. Loved forza 5 and from reviews looks like 6 improves on it and is even more polished. Anyone else getting forza tomorrow?

Bungie constantly lies to their fans and that's never an acceptable standard for any commercial product. I'm surprised that there is still a loyal fanbase defending their business model. -When confronted about a lack of vault space... Bungie said there isn't enough space to accommodate that for last gen consoles, so out of solidarity for their users across all platforms they will not extend vault inventory space. Truth: Bungie wants to promote the usage of their new weapons and gear, and wants render all previous year's items completely obsolete, disregarding any progress players have made thus far. Why this was considered a feasible idea is beyond anyone's guess. -When asked about lack of Matchmaking/Filtering... Bungie said Destiny was meant to be played as a community with Clan based approaches on Raids. Truth: Well, how the flying #$@& are we supposed to do Clan based interactions if no basic foundation was properly setup in the first place?! -When asked about the constant weapon balancing/nerfing/buffing... Bungie said that due to an overwhelming number of players exploiting weapons that were previously untested, they will be "adjusted accordingly" as fan feedback comes through the forums. Truth: Bungie had an epiphany when they realized that they launched the game without it being finished and tested thoroughly, thanks to Activision. Moreover, they were frustrated with players finding ways to make Raids easier instead of grinding, which is what they intended. -When asked about what factor determined the price point of their expansions, which didn't supplement enough content... Bungie said, courtesy of our favorite A$$HAT Luke Smith, that it was upto the "player's assessment of value" and arrogantly suggested that most if not all players would "throw their money at the screen" upon having previewed the content. Truth: A$$HAT just nailed it. Why pay anything for an unfinished game? The third subclass was initially missing from the core game, and the story was a cliffhanger, suggesting that the game was incomplete to begin with. Bungie claiming that TTK is a standalone game and is "too big to be an expansion" just solidifies that blatant lie. -When asked about the constant Server disconnect issues across all platforms... Bungie said, nothing. Because they're still looking at the screen that says Error 404 File Not Found. Truth: Makes you wonder where the $500m budget went... *Truth: it's a pretty good rocket launcher for PVP. :-P Maybe I'm expecting too much from a consumer's standpoint, but that's what consumers do, they have high expectations from a hyped franchise and a AAA developer. Not gonna pre order not gonna buy the new content. I'm done with destiny once taken King comes out. If they offer it up as a $20 dlc like the other two steaming dooks I already paid for then maybe, just to see what they have done. But as it lies right now I'm not gonna support this company or it's game with the ballot of my dollar anymore!
