Bungie, You Missed the Point

The apology is welcomed, but it is not accepted. And I can't help but feel like you've missed the point. Meaning I have to ask: Why are you pricing out your most loyal players from playing in the world they love? Nor is it okay to try and guilt your angry customer base with a sob approach about how Luke smith is hurt by the anger. You put yourself out there in global media and you're damned right you better be on point. Fans are angry. We'd have been angry even without a clumsy interview. All Bungievision's attempt at reparation has done is expand the ways in which they can squeeze the same overcharged price tag out of their player base - particularly the day one guardians who are still being entirely shafted. And as if to emphasise how the much destiny is a poster child for corporate greed; almost in the same breath, we find out that they have signed a deal with RED BULL to slap some marketing deal all over the universe we love. Truly next level PR. Bungie's damage control creates the illusion of improvement by offering a slightly less insulting offering than the original insult. Even the placating year one exclusives are readily accessible to relative kinderguardians, who need only reach lvl 20 and farm some marks for vender gear, buy an exotic from xur and various other avenues. Where is the value of the 100s and 1000s of hours player? Even forgetting that the American price raises questions of validity and that European figures are unjustifiably inflated, day one guardians who purchase TTK will have paid in the region of 2-3x more than players using TTK as their destiny entry point. There are many posts pointing out better than I can how stand alone DLC cosmetics are being valued, incredibly, at the same cost as expansion 1 and 2. The pricing of TTK is almost that of an entirely new game world rather than, at best, a 1/4 to 1/3 scope tack-on. Though I will applaud the sub-class and story effort additions, surely a year on we are simply reaching the game that was envisaged and promised from the get go. Day one guardians also miss out on physical collectors editions due to there being no stand alone TTK physical collector edition. Why on earth would an individual pay out almost double the worth of the content they actually want due to the inclusion of all previous DLC and Destiny Prime. Long time players are the ones most likely to want the physical paraphernalia. Ownership of and long term support for previously released content should not, ever, be discriminated against in this way. We should be on this forum talking about how to make this world better. d-pad consumables assignment, weapon balances, raiding ideas. Instead, long term guardians are finding that, once again, we're having to fight tooth and nail for every single piece of positive and fair ground we can get. Please help me out here, because I'm struggling to get it at all. More than anything, I just feel so much disappointment, deflation and under appreciation. None of it is is fair Bungie. None of it feels right. And you know it. ------------- [edit 1]: I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for the support that made this topic reach both trending and highest rated is the past 24 hours. It is a testament to all of your passion for Destiny and our collective desire for positive, fair change. Thank you for your time, Thank you for taking a stand, And thank you for your will to be heard.

Bump. Just deleted destiny. Going to look for another game to play. Keep it up guys. I've never been so disappointed in a game like this before.
