I've never had a PS3-4
But my Xbox is the worst Xbox I've owned, bad/loose hdmi port, no hd space, have to quit apps and constantly restart them. Never connects properly and when you go to diagnose an issue, it just sits and loads for forever. The party system still doesn't work properly. It's impossible to send invites for anything without navigating 300 menus. Not to mention it's so slow in what it does do.
They made everything so hard to do when the 360 was so easy
If my friends had a play station I'd proboly have that

Ive literally never had thise issues unless there was server issues, as for the hardware problems: could be how they were handled durning the shipping process. I work in retail/shipping and recieving and would suggest that you just go return/exchange your c9nsole for another instead of dealing with it and then making a blanket statement. As for your party issues it could be an unstable internet connection; as in try hard-wiring your xbox from the router to the console, try moving the router to a different location as the materials used to make your home might interfere with wifi.

Also i do see a significant increase of swaps from ps4 to xbox since the launch. Microsoft has alot more to offer then youd think, look up augmented reality and the fact that they will integrate that into gaming eventually (IMO itll repace the kinect)

I'm keeping my Xbox and would buy the next gen console when they make a new one The problems I made seem more severe then they are

Btw on amazon is an external harddrive that has has 7500 rpms and 2TB, itll spead up your UI very noticibly, cutting load times down from 67 seconds to like 30 or such, and also the better HDMI you have will help response time as well.
