He didn't save anything. He did his job and doused the fire by promising something that they can implement after the fact. I'm not sure I want to continue to support a dev/production team that is doing "just enough" to keep us playing. They've made several decisions that make us scratch our heads. Either they're morons or they just don't truly care about their player base. Both of which are bad.

Aftee the interview and the way they've ducked real questions to justify the price and items in TTK I don't want to support them anymore. They obviously thought Smith was capable of handling an interview and so it leads me to believe he's not alone in thinking were all just people they can price gouge screw over and use until we get tired of bleeding money whatever at Bungie is contagious greed can be like that.

  • They've shown us their true colors and their obvious business plan which will continue to be done this way each year unless we do something about it. Unfortunately the only thing we can do is to stop playing. I'm sure they are going to do what they can to make up for that interview, but it's not the purchase options that scare me now it was their lack of care or foresight.

  • Unless we do something about it? What, are we going to revolt? Shrug off the fetters of oppression? Finally rise up and overthrow the supreme overlord that is Bungie and finally taste freedom? My god can you people not hear yourselves? Bungle owe us nothing! They are a game developer. They make a game, market it, affix a price to said game that will cover cost of development and turn a profit. The customer will decide if they want to buy it or not, deal done. I haven't got the patience to check how many hours you've played in destiny. But do me a favour, check yourself, figure out how much money you've spent on destiny, divide that figure by hours played, and tell me you haven't gotten your moneys worth. I'm not Bungies, or Destinys, biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination, but some people here need to grow the -blam!- up and lose this sense of entitlement. Bumgie is a product, an online game that does not require a subscription so we are not owed anything. We have an option not to play, if we don't play, we don't have to pay. So for Christ sake, grow up.

  • You obviously haven't read anything I said. I didn't say they owed us anything. I said I wasn't going to continue to support a game that is trying to do only what they have to do keep us going and nothing more. Don't jump on your high horse and start that whole "it's a business and they're trying to make money" crap because every dev/production team is trying to make money but work much harder for their fans and take more pride in their work. Are you telling me you're satisfied in the "effort" you've seen from Bungie? I personally think they can do much better because I've seen them do much better.

  • In the effort from HoW? Yes I am satisfied to be honest. Satisfied from th actual endgame content? Not so much. Poe bores me now, and I'm not good enough at PvP to take advantage of trials. But from the effort they've put into making the game as a whole a more cohesive experience, such as refining the economy, always one of my major issues with the game? Yes I think they've done well there. And I'm not willing to give up on destiny until I at least play ttk

  • They have made strides in the last dlc, but I feel like it was more because they were a couple strides behind to begin with. Like you I'm bored with the content atm and I've gone flawless in trials, but tbh don't care to do it any more. If I didn't care about the game I wouldn't be on the forums. I want the game to do well. I want it to be a better experience, but if we don't express our disapproval of their decision then this "effort and planning" they're putting into the game won't change. Unfortunately it's gotten (for me at least) to the point to where I feel like I'm being insulted with some of the decisions they make regarding their player base. As if sometimes they just want to see if we'll notice. I'm sure I'm taking it too personal, but I feel this way for a reason. Hopefully it will all change. I love the potential of this game, but I can't help but feel like their business model is holding it back.

  • I understand dude. And I'm sorry if my post seemed a bit hostile to you, I misinterpreted your post and was replying to some people's mentalities more than yours personally. The thing that disappointed me most about HoW was it's focus on PvP. Not because it's focused on PvP, but because while the focused on more endgame content for PvP, they completed disregarded the core issues with PvP to begin with such as weapon balancing, lack of dedicated servers, ease of exploitation. And I do feel like those issues really do need to be addressed.

  • O man don't get me started on the dedicated server thing. I can't stand p2p servers. It's like I can't be happy when I do good cause I assume it's because the ping advantage was on my side and when i do bad I want to blame it on the servers. It's lose lose for me. Since Activision has only ever done p2p servers (as far as I know) I don't think that will ever change.

  • Yeah. I won't blame p2p for my bad performance in PvP. I do ok in 6v6, I've just over 1 k/d overall. I'm not very skilled at crucible, I've accepted it. But of destiny want to make it a competitive mode in general, which they clearly do, they need to get their shit together and actually implement the infrastructure to standardise and it and give the players the infrastructure to make it what bungie wants it to be
