I know that one of the core pillars of Destiny is that your characters evolve over time and you get new gear in the form of armor and weapons, and you level them, they are yours and you take them into all of the activities etc.
However much I love this concept, I also see a few flaws with it. The main one for me personally is the lack of a certain PVP game mode that just ain't possible if you drive this "your own gear" concept too hard.
I played alot of Halo: Reach multiplayer when it came out. When I think about it, that is the first game ever that I really put my heart and soul into a PVP mode. When I played Halo: Reach, I only (yes... ONLY) played SWAT, and I freaking loved it!
For those of you who doesn't know, SWAT is a game mode where every player only have precision weapons (be that a pistol or a scout rifle), no radar and constantly lacks a shield, which means that if you have fast reflexes and aim for headshots you kill your enemies with one shot.
What I love about this gamemode is the empethis on tension and reflexes. You never know if there is another player just around the corner, or perhaps the whole team!? You're constantly on the edge of your seat, your reflexes are being practiced and the instant payoff of the headshots if you alone take down a team of four is priceless. You feel like a god. I'm no fan of the Destiny PVP encounters where a fight takes a couple of seconds. I want a SWAT clone in Destiny, because that is a freaking lovley gamemode in my experience. And I would love Destiny even more if it was in some way introduced here as well.
To go full circle. As I see it this is simply not possible in Destiny as it is atm. You can't bring your autorifle, shotgun or rocket launcher into this gamemode. You can't use your super abilitys, or the special meele attack. At least not if SWAT in Destiny is to be like SWAT in Halo. But if Bungie shake it up a little, I'm sure it could work in some way.
Basiclly, I just reeeeeaaaally want this. And if I with this post just plant a seed for an "alternate playlist" where everyone plays by the same rules (no own weapons, or perhaps a "precision weapons only" -playlist or whatever) or something similar that may be introduced in Destiny years from now I'm happy.
PS:
I want to apolagize if my sentence building or english is clumsy in this post, I'm very sleepy as I'm writing this.

Sounds like you need to stop playing destiny and play halo
