I know, #Destiny and all, but this isn't a Desticle topic and I figure we can all sit and laugh at the shit this game has become. Props to the interviewer for actually saying "this is -blam!-ing retarded" to the guys face in a professional manner
Sorry to any britbongs who actually enjoy this game.
Also, I've seen people on gamefaqs compare it to WoW expansions, but that's honestly insulting to that game. WoW expansions lasted 2 years as opposed to 2 hours (2 and a half if you're on PS4)

Edited by Vgnut: 6/23/2015 6:20:20 AMThere was a hostile reaction to Destiny when it first came out. There was a hostile reaction to TDB when it came out. There was some hostility towards HOW when it was announced there wouldn't be a raid. There is overwhelming hostility to TTK. I'm no expert, however even I know something is wrong if every time you announce new content there's a backlash.
-
Edited by Tu Chocolate Caliente: 6/23/2015 8:27:42 AMYou know what will make the Bungie.net forums burn? Putting this on #Destiny to see how Desticles will defend this crap. Destiny is literally: "Fuck our fanbase the videogame".
-
I don't blame him for botching that interview. I don't know how anyone could successfully defend this shit successfully.
-
He surely won't be doing interviews again any time soon.
-
He apologized.
-
That interview should be posted to a cringe thread.
-
I honestly laughed when I saw this a couple days ago. Way to go Bungie
-
We think our dingy little "expansion" is so good we've valued it at $40 Oh and to get the collectors edition with EMOTES? That'll be another $40. Cuz it's all about value
-
Now we know why all those bungie employees jumped ship just before the release of Destiny.
-
Edited by poopinator122: 6/25/2015 10:29:54 AMI miss Bungie, But I don't want them to go back to Halo. :(
-
Pay full price for an expansion. Pay double for the expansion, emotes and to buy everything you own all over again. And then he defends that by saying some of the strangest things i've ever seen leave a developers mouth. In closing, Luke Smith is a bit of an idiot who will probably be banned from speaking in public again. Makes me glad I quit the game, I wouldn't be buying that "expansion" even if I was still playing.
-
Hang on, can I buy TTK separately, or are they forcing us to spend all this cash?
-
Haha, jesus christ. I knew they were stupid but I didn't know they were this stupid. Destiny: Our Fanbase is Trash the VideoGame
-
This makes me lose hope, for gaming companies every where.
-
I still havent purchased house of wolfs.... And i never will with that kind of leadership at the helm. Now you go talk to someone from bethesda and they say "-blam!- it we are doing this because our players will love it" Thats a company i can back
-
It's so sad because Bungie used to be good. It has nothing left from the halo days. All the good devs and players have already left so Destiny is becoming a trash pit for gamers and devs. Destiny truly could have been a great game, but that ship has sailed. I hope that every gamer and des in the world reads this thread to show what Bungie and destiny really are.
-
It's a big FU to the players who supported bungie from release. Luke is the main guy who design's the raids. The same guy who bashed halo 2's multiplayer approach. I wouldn't be surprised if Luke is the main man limiting matchmaking in destiny, behind the awful RNG system. The direction needs to change on destiny and bungie should listen to their fans.
-
i hope all loyal destiny players will leave this game behind and put this in the bin,, imagine if all just left and didnt bother with the new dlc.. Godd luck bungie then, all that would be left are the switch laggers,, total abuse and piss take from destiny, speically with the answers to the interview, arrogant money grapping businessmen not gamers..... bye bye destiny very soon.
-
*Perhaps I shouldn't have worded it like that.* Has to be the only thing going through his head when he sees this.
-
Edited by MEGAGOD3: 6/25/2015 5:38:15 AMEmotes? What the hell is this? A freaking Team Fortress 2 ripoff but botched? If you wanted people to shell out this kind of money, Include a freaking conga taunt, a high five, a flip, and a square dance for (Insert God/Divinity here) Sake!

Edited by Ukimoi: 6/22/2015 10:23:35 PM
Eurogamer: What I'm saying is that fan frustration is not because they don't understand the proposition. It comes regardless of how cool the exclusive content is. The frustration - and mine as a fan - is that the method of acquiring it requires me to re-buy content I bought a year ago.

Luke Smith: [Long pause] It's about value. The player's assessment of the value of the content.
LOL rekt
-
Edited by Kafuu Chino: 6/23/2015 5:00:56 AMWell if that isn't a big "fuck you, got mine" to a loyal fanbase, I don't know what is. Luke Smith is a right cunt. I was angry that Bungie fired Marty, but now I'm kinda glad he's off that sinking ship, even if it was against his will. I can see why Joseph Staten jumped ship.
You're feeling anxious because you want this exclusive content but you don't know yet how much you want it. The notion of spending this money is making you anxious, I can see it.
Who the fuck would say this!? No person in their right mind would say this!
-
Well, unless that price drops, so long Bungie. It's bout time I returned to the wasteland.
-
#Destiny - it goes there
-
Bungie is pathetic these days. More overpriced DLCs, complete with more employees treating fans as a lesser people and more hollow promises from DeeJ.
-
Eso>destiny. Probably won't ever need to play destiny again
