To bad in the skolas fight you can only join after a wipe. Once skolas dies the room is locked. If you die on your way to the chest you csnt be revived. ...if everyone dies you get sent to orbit with no chance to get chest...mission complete. No one can join after skolas has died tho. No one can revive once reentering airlock either

Players can't join after a boss dies... lol Not in VOG Not in Crota Not in POE. It has to be in the airlock before the skolas fight and its about a 5 second window the person has to join the fireteam
