1. The Taken King is the Initial release for year 2 of Destiny. 2. It is significantly larger than all prior Destiny DLC drops. 3. The reason you don't see COD boosting DLC prices a year later is two fold. COD DLC's only come out in first year, secondly a new COD is being released so most don't give two sh!+s about DLC for the old one.

  • Except every single cod that had a dlc for zombies. What say world at war, black ops, black ops 2. Zombies is a mode in cod that in my opinion will stand the test of time and never lose its fun factor. It has an aspect of challenge that cant beat. It is always a challenge to me and each time I challenge myself to beat my last highest wave. I would pay 20 dollars for a zombie mode just because it is exactly that much fun. Just like I would pay 20 dollars for a destiny dlc. Because it is just that fun. They reduce the price to 20 I got no problems but 40 dollars is too steep

Again COD didn't release DLC's after year 1 as a publishers couldn't/wouldn't compete against a new COD game. World at War Initial Release: November 11, 2008 DLC 1: March 19, 2009 DLC 2: June 11, 2009 (360) July 17, 2009 (PS3 and PC) DLC 3: August 6, 2009 Initial Release: November 9, 2010 DLC 1: February 1, 2011 (360) March 3, 2011 (PS3) DLC 2: May 3, 2011 (360) June 3, 2011 (PS3) June 10, 2011 (PC) DLC 3: June 28, 2011 (360) July 28, 2011 (PS3 and PC) DLC 4: August 23, 2011 (360) September 22, 2011 (PS3 and PC) Black Ops 2 Initial Release: November 13, 2012 DLC 1: December 12, 2012 (360) January 17, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 2: January 29, 2013 (360) February 28, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 3: April 16, 2013 (360) May 16, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 4: July 2, 2013 (360) August 1, 2013 (PS3 and PC) DLC 5: August 27, 2013 (360) September 26, 2013 (PS3 and PC) Now if you want to argue whether the DLC's matter, that is all based on one persons perceived value in the game (otherwise known as opinion and not fact). You have to compare apples to apples. 1 COD DLC $15 a piece for 1 new zombie map, 3-4 pvp maps and maybe a weapon or two; compared to TTK 1 new subclass for each class, multiple new weapons both legendary and exotic, a new raid, 2 new pvp game modes, multiple new pvp maps (4 that we know of so far) and 10-12 new story line missions. You seem to value zombies more than actual content, that is fact. Just go play COD...

  • I do. Even to this day so many years later I could pick up world at war zombies and have a blast. Meanwhile I cant bear doing vog anymore and crota just seems like a chore, the thorn bounty is impossible for me and the poe is useless if you have the exotic. Last thing to do is flawless the trials which I will do maybe tonight with a friend. Games shouldnt seem like a chore. Games should be fun. I personally think destiny is more of a chore than a game. Its got a big weekly checklist. But if you enjoy the new 40 dollar dlc then who am I to rain on your fun. To games my friend and happy hunting
