Avoid movies for the first 5 or so dates, just get something to eat, walk somewhere (like at a park or something), do stuff where there can be a nonstop conversation. If there is a lull don't let it bother you, silence is not awkward. Talk to her like you've known her a long time, share information with her like you're having an everyday conversation with a close friend or longtime girlfriend. Your appearance of comfort will build her comfort and you'll be trusted and close in no time. This part sounds dickish but it's unfortunately true, don't give any appearance-based compliments for at least the first week or two of dating. If you get a chance to compliment her intellect or wit and it's worth complimenting, feel free, but keep it very casual. Edit: I just re-read and saw that you're a 9th grader. The advice above is solid but based on dating women, not children. It'd be good practice for when you date women some day though.
