I think you fail to understand that destiny, DB, HoW are subject to depreciation over time, losing the full $100 original value. This is no different than me going and buying the GOTY edition of Batman, or buying a certified pre owned car, to avoid the first two years of massive depreciation. Also your phone example is a bit off mark
