Games depreciate. You could look at it for what it is: Giving a good deal for their content. Let's be honest, if they had decided to charge more, most would see it as Activision "milking" the game. Instead they gave the public a good deal, and some resent those who get to enjoy it even though they enjoyed the last year of playtime.
