I've lived in 6 states (East, Midwest, and West) and been to 49. I've spent significant time in about 40. That being said, I can definitively say that:
Anyone who says anything other than New Mexico has probably never been there.
[spoiler]I admit from Santa Fe northward is pretty ok, but Albuquerque southward sucks so badly that no other state even comes close[/spoiler]
