Try out Witcher 3 if you haven't yet, its a masterpiece of a game.
Been playing that myself with a little Destiny mixed in.
While I dont agree with you about HoW, I am kind of hesitant about the next expansion. However, compared to TDB, HoW is a lot better so if they keep on that track I'm hopeful Taken King will be great.
